I am a big believer of practicing what you preach and as such I am a strong advocate for self care and mindfulness practices that have benefited clients I’ve seen in the past as well as myself. These self care practices range from deep breathing exercises, grounded techniques, co-regulation, and journaling. My approach leans more toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focusing on the relationship between the triad of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The first step toward therapy with a client in my mind is creating a comfortable environment allowing you to express yourself free of any judgement.
When it comes to grief I have my own personal experience that has translated into my passion for helping others who struggle with grief and loss. Dealing with the loss of my father a couple of years ago has allowed me to go through the stages of grief that clients often go through. This has allowed me to have an authentic connection with clients as they navigate through each stage of grief as well as depression, anxiety, and life adjustments.

I absolutely adore her. She has such a comforting aura. She always listens and helps me understand my own thoughts and problems. Plus, she let's me go off on tangents on all my recent hyper-fixations without judgment.

I cannot recommend my Caitlin highly enough. She truly excels in creating a safe and supportive environment where I feel completely heard and understood. Every session is a meaningful experience as she genuinely listens to my concerns and validates my feelings. What sets her apart is her ability to help me hold myself accountable while gently guiding me to see things from different perspectives. Her insightful approach has been transformative for my personal growth.

While Caitlin is my first therapist, I still can confidently say that she is among the best out there. I was very nervous to begin sessions, and from our very first session she made me feel comfortable and confident enough to open up, which has led to incredibly helpful and healing sessions. Caitlin is really excellent at helping you reflect on things that you may take for granted

Caitlin is amazing! I’ve only seen her a few times, but I can feel she is really making a difference in my life. I’ve seen other people over the years, but none of them compare. Caitlin possesses professionalism, yet she has a realness about her and she’s genuinely caring. Qualities like these are what you hope to find in a therapist. I wish I had seen Caitlin years ago.

Caitlin is a mental health provider who gets it. She was able to understand me as a fellow queer person from a conservative religious background. In our sessions, we’ve worked through me finding home in myself. And also how to find my way back there when I feel disconnected. I can’t recommend Caitlin enough.

My sessions with Caitlin have been nothing but great. She makes me feel so comfortable in our conversations and that helps me open up to her more and more. I could not have asked for a better person. I’m very grateful for her.

Prior to joining “We Rise Counseling Services” I was a clinical mental health intern working at the Queens Long Island Community Services “QLICS”. Within my time working at this practice I was fortunate enough to work with clients from several diverse and multicultural backgrounds as well as different age ranges.
During my time working at “QLICS” I had the opportunity to see clients in various types of therapy settings including but not limited to psycho therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, and child therapy. My background prior to working in the mental health field was working directly in a medical setting with patients.
My background in the medical field has allowed me to have a unique “whole person” perspective to seeing clients while being able to see the mind-body connection correlated with therapy as well as navigating crisis management.
